This is one of the most frequently asked questions by those considering a hair transplant.

(Excluding cases involving hair diseases, chemotherapy, or similar treatments)

The transplanted hair is completely permanent because it is taken from an area coded not to shed. This area is referred to as the donor area, which includes the nape and the area above the ears. Generally, the donor area is genetically programmed not to shed. Therefore, the transplanted hair will accompany you for life.

In hair transplant procedures performed at a center with an expert and experienced team, the graft survival rate is between 95% and 98%.

The success rate after a hair transplant also depends on the individual's care and effort. It can vary based on a person’s physiological, genetic, and follicular structure.

The duration of the hair transplant procedure varies depending on the number of staff members in the team and the number of grafts to be transplanted, but it generally takes around 6 to 9 hours.

With the advancement of technology, the pain experienced during hair transplant procedures has significantly decreased. Currently, the pain is minimal, almost negligible.

During the procedure, you may feel a slight tension on your scalp. Since pain tolerance varies from patient to patient, some describe this tension as mild discomfort, while most of our patients report feeling almost no discomfort at all.

At our clinic, hair transplant procedures are performed under local anesthesia. This way, if you wish, you can listen to music, watch a movie, or use your phone during the procedure.
